The title of this post is from William Butler Yeats poem “The Falling of the Leaves.”

I’m familiar with the piece after recording my one and only album in the mid 1990’s; a masterful art song cycle composed by John Aschenbrenner entitled “To An Isle in the Water: The Poetry of William Butler Yeats.”

Remembering a Hero on Memorial Day

Recently, I received an email from my Gig Harbor Library that informed me that I would be able to sign up with my library card (that I have had for many years) and download a plethora of books. Rest In Peace Dear Roger

Today I received an email invitation to my dear friend Roger Keller’s Memorial, and so sad that I can not be there to honor him and his memory.

I was stunned, blindsided, and heartbroken getting this news even though I knew that he was battling health issues. It has been a long time since I had seen him, but he held a very special place in my heart; he always will.
