Entering Twilight

I woke up this morning excitedly realizing that it is my Birthday. A few weeks ago I looked at the calendar and saw that it falls on a Saturday which made me really happy since week day Birthdays always cause problems as far as celebrating.

This morning after breaking yet another glass in two days I couldn’t figure out what was wrong? Why am I so out of sorts and scattered? There has been a deep sorrow hanging over me for no apparent reason.

Fighting the Enemy

I can not recall in our nation’s history experiencing anything like this frightening and invisible enemy since maybe the influenza pandemic in 1918.  I keep thinking of my good fortune to be home and not “on the road” somewhere.  I am determined to stay upbeat in this trying time, and remember all the stories of sacrifice and loss that previous generations have endured.  Our present ones have had an amazingly extended period of peace and tranquility, and now we are being tested. ...
