It is now four years since my last blog entry, and so much has happened, but I’m still in a good place. This is in spite of dealing with the loss of my oldest brother, my dearest friend Peter, and my wonderful NY agent Barry in a span of three weeks last April.
My Birthday is tomorrow, and I will be seventy two years old! I feel pretty darn good considering that I dropped a steel saw horse on my big toe’s bunion a couple of weeks ago which was followed by a string of profanity that would make a sailor blush for a week! I am also dealing with tennis elbow from working hard in the yard, but both “situations” are healing nicely, and all is well.
The most important Blessing that happened last year in October was getting re-united with my beautiful daughter who I gave up for adoption when I was seventeen years old. It was without a doubt the hardest decision I have ever had to make, but by doing so I saved three souls, and the karmic result has been getting rewarded with her returning back into my life which will always be the best Birthday gift I could have ever received.
I am still dealing with life worries regarding my amazing sister’s health issues, and wake up every morning praying for her, and all those people in my life that I love and cherish.
And of course there are the political land mines that must be avoided by being balanced, calm, and discerning while being bombarded by over emotional and looney reactions from all sides. I have voted in every Local, State and Federal Primaries, and main Elections since I was eligible to do so when I was eighteen. It is a right and a privilege to do so, and one I have never, ever taken for granted.
Thank you to all those who have hopefully understood my taking a “leave of absence” these last few years. My privacy, well being, and beloved family are the important gifts I hold most dear, and I am both grateful and proud of the career I had, but currently and happily caring for my husband, my gardens, and holding onto my Faith!
Blessings to all!
